  3. In Class Writing Assignment 1) List 5 historical figures you believe had a great impact on history 2) List 5 inventions/inventors you believe had a great impact on history 3) List 5 historical events you believe had a great impact on history

  4. Concrete and Specific Details • Specific names, dates, experiences • Things that we know happened; for example the invention of the car, telephone, technology

  5. 5 paragraph essay • Using one of the lists, write a 5-paragraph essay using specific details and evidence to support your ideas

  6. 1st Map Assignment • Trace the map on page 5 of the textbook • Label the following: • Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Kish, Erech, Ur, Egypt, Caucasus Mountains, Armenian Plateau, Black Sea, Caspian Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Sinai Peninsula, Zagros Mountains, Persian Gulf, Nile River • Shade the following areas: • Fertile Crescent, Akkad, Sumer, Babylonian empire
