  2. People learned to polish stone, make saws and drills and fire. Started to learn how to farm. They learned instead of picking food, to growing it during this era. Domestication: process of changing plants to make them more useful to humans. Neolithic age

  3. People began to build permanent settlements. Some areas: farming communities developed into small towns. People started to perform religious ceremonies and created Megaliths: huge stones used as monuments. Farm changing societies

  4. More than likely, people believed in gods or goddesses of: air, water, fire, and earth. Some societies today still hold on to this belief. HMWRK: 1B, 2B Tomorrow: review for test over chapter 1 and 2. What did people believe?
