  4. Classroom Management/ Behavior Plan We will be working hard to create a respectful and hard-working classroom environment. Consequences Take a Break Note/Call Home Logical Consequences

  5. Book Boxes Kept at school, but students may bring in books and magazines from home to read at quiet time. Attendance/Tardiness/Illness Please be sure your child makes it school on days he/she is not ill. Days lost at school are very difficult for children to make up. Please be sure to have your child to school on time each day. Please do not send your child to school if he or she is ill. Changes in Plans Please send a note with your child if he/she has a change of plans for the end of the day. I will not allow students to change their plans without a note or phone call. Please do not send an e-mail on the day of a change in case I do not have the opportunity to check e-mail before the end of the day.

  8. Snacks The morning can get long without a snack, I encourage you to send a HEALTHY snack each day! Water bottles are also welcome! NO NUTS!!! Birthdays We will celebrate birthdays by singing to and recognizing your child with singing, a certificate, and a pencil. Birthday treats will not be allowed at school this year. Summer birthdays will be celebrated at the end of the year.

  9. Star of the Week Each child we be assigned a week that he/she is the STAR! A note will be sent home about this date soon.

  10. Sharing Day to day sharing will be verbal. Your child will have the opportunity to share items from home during his/her Star of the Week time and on special designated days. Toys at School Please DO NOT send them!

  11. Please check the Afternoon Transportation Poster and let me know if there are any changes! Also, for the safety of all at Kennedy, please drop off your child from the side parking lot and not the front of the building! For pick up this year all families will receive a car number. Please stop at the gym to get your number! THANK YOU!
