  1. Ancient Rome Extras Supplements to your map, guided notes and activities for Ancient Rome.

  2. Romulus and Remus Cartoon Questions –Goes Underneath Rome Map pg 34 • Some questions to think about and answer: • What was the name of the city Amulius and Numitor ruled? Was it Rome? • Which brother was the surviving ruler of Rome? What happened to the other brother? • Look back on the story and think about what kind of person Romulus was. How does he/his story compare with George Washington or Abraham Lincoln or any of America's founding fathers, and what does this say about ancient Romans? • Can you create a graphic of some type (family tree, flowchart, etc.) of the people involved in the founding of Rome?

  3. The Etruscans bottom of page • Answer the following questions according to the clip. • 1. Who were the Etruscans? • 2. How did they come to settle in Italy/Rome? • 3. What type of culture and artwork did they create? • 4. How did they treat women in their society?

  4. Roman Emperors-Report Cards goes under Rome notes sheet • Using two emperors from your guided notes, work with one partner at your table and create a report card for each of the following: • Julius Caeser • Caesar Augustus • Split your page in half and see the next slide on how to set it up.

  5. Newspaper Headlines from Ancient Rome and picturing Achievements pg • After splitting the page in half, on the top half of the page copy down the following chronology. (the items are not in order. Using the information that you already have, please put them in number order 1-6. • __Plebes walk out on Rome, the “backbone” demands rights. • __Emperor Nero burns the city and blames the Christians. • __”Dictator” for life, Julius Caesar is now dead. • __Hannibal leads elephants over the Alps, Rome wins anyway. • __Twin boys rescued from the waters of the Tiber River by a she wolf. • __ Emperor Hadrian builds a wall. • Underneath the chronology separate the bottom half of the page into 4 boxes. • Label the boxes: • 1. Coliseum • 2. Pantheon • 3. Roads • 4. Aqueducts • We will be drawing them in and then doing a foldable on the next page.

  6. Roman Achievement pg. • After completing the foldable, using the PowerPoint and then and then the textbook, notes, and supplemental materials finish the information about roman achievement. • You should be able to add at least 2 additional facts. When you are done, make sure to glue the foldable onto the page

  7. Rome and Christianity • Complete the reading and the questions with a partner. Holding the notebook landscape style, glue the handout into the notebook. • On the left side of the page on the right side draw a concept map with the following topics: • 1. Writings • 2. Founder • 3. Places of Worship • 4. Geographic Region • 5. Significant People • 6. Teachings/Beliefs • 7. Additional Information
