  2. Thesis Statement • Thesis Statement: Injuries in basketball have serious implications; injuries could affect a player’s scholarship, ability to play in the future, and it could create a long life health problem.

  3. Topic Sentence 1 • Topic Sentence #1: Injuries are very serious in basketball. • - Evidence #1: Pep Girls: One of their players took a blow to her knee. • - Evidence #2: Pep Girls: She had to go back in the game with a knee brace on her knee.

  4. Topic Sentence 2 • Topic Sentence #2: Injuries could affect a player’s scholarship. • - Evidence #1: They could lose their scholarship if they are injured • - Evidence #2: If players get injured but can still play they may lose out on the chance to play for that certain scholarship.

Topic Sentence 3 • V: Topic Sentence #3: Injuries could have a big impact on a player’s future. • - Evidence #1: The player’s injuries are severe enough they may not be able to accomplish simple life goals. • - Evidence #2: Some players who damage major tendons or muscle could lose the ability to walk or run for the rest of their life.

Topic Sentence 4 • VI: Topic Sentence #4: After retirement do NBA or WNBA players still work. • - Evidence #1: some do depending on how many years they played and how much money they made • - Evidence #2: Some do go back to work if they don’t have injures or physical problems after their retirement.

  7. Topic Sentence 5 • VII: Topic Sentence #5: will the players return back to the WNBA or NBA when they get injured • - Evidence #1: it depends on what kind of injuries they have. Because some players don’t want to return if they tire they, ACL or MCL. • - Evidence #2: Some people return back if they really want to. But some do not if they tire there ACL OR MCL , because some might be scared that it might happen to them agene.

  8. Topic Sentence 6 • VIII: Topic Sentence #6: There are a lot of injuries in basketball. • - Evidence #1: You have your ACL, your MCL, you also have ankle sprang. You can also get hit in the nose if somebody throw there elbow. You also can sprang your wrist, a jammed finger. But there’s a lot of injures for basketball. • - Evidence #2: you can sprang your ankle, they also call that high ankle sprang and low ankle sprang.

  9. Topic Sentence 7 • IX: Topic Sentence #7: Basketball injuries could create long life health problems. • - Evidence #1: You will still fill the pain in your muscles or your joints. • - Evidence #2: You will still have to do therapy just to get your muscles back like they where.
