Basketball. STRAGEDIES. This is a strategy called pick and roll that basketball players use on the court. I myself have used this and can teach it to someone. This is another strategy that I can teach and have used when I was on the basketball team. This is called a give ‘n go.

  2. STRAGEDIES • This is a strategy called pick and roll that basketball players use on the court. I myself have used this and can teach it to someone. • This is another strategy that I can teach and have used when I was on the basketball team. This is called a give ‘n go.

About Basketball • Not many people know this but the basketball it self was not always orange, when basketball was first started the original color was brown but then it was changed because orange is brighter and makes it easier for the players to see the ball. • Women's basketball began in 1892, and some rules were modified to fit women. • The game was made an official Olympic game in Berlin Germany, 1936. • Basketball is an intense and a contact sport, so if your afraid of contact and if your worried about messing up your hair, clothes, etc then basketball or any other sport is not for you. Basketball to me is a mind game you have to be focused on the game and not on anything else because that could mess up your game.

  4. Teaching • Teaching basketball is not hard you just have to have the time and patience to help another. • I have taught some kids on how to play basketball because of being on the beacon team, and going to many schools and events like Nike events that’s held at LIU. Teaching kids or anyone who wants to learn how to play is very interesting especially when they start to learn/figure out their talents. • Once you love something your patience and time will increase and you would be willing to help someone who wants to learn about something you love faster than you’d ever think.

  5. Other Facts • Competition is also another big deal in basketball. Especially if the game is really important/serious to you. • Basketball has evolved a lot after its inception in 1891. The basketball tips and tricks like shooting, dribbling and passing developed with the game. Originally restricted to few countries, basketball has now become popular worldwide. • You got to want to win to be a champion, and when you do win it’s a really great feeling. • Many ages play basketball, and also every gender and race it doesn’t matter where you come from or how you look, its about what your bringing to the court.
