  3. Big Hair/Metal • Big Hair/ Metal Music Is very heavy music and usually has drug and or sexual related lyrics • Some Of the Big Hair And Metal groups include Motley Crue, Great White, Poison, Quiet Riot, Pat Benatar, Def Leppard, Lynch Mob, Scorpions,Vixen,David Lee Roth

Soft Rock • Soft Rock is a very calm form of rock and usually has peace related lyrics and is less wild than metal • Some of the soft rock groups included Air Supply, Ambrosia, Little River Band, and James Taylor. • Some Of their hit songs include “All Out Of Love” by Air Supply, “Your The Only Woman” by Ambrosia, “Take It Easy On Me” by Little River Band, And “Never Die Young” by James Taylor.

  5. Pop • Some Of the big Pop Singers Were Michael Jackson, Madonna, Duran Duran, and New Kids On The Block. • Some of their famous songs were “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” By Michael Jackson, “Like A Virgin” By Modanna, Hungry Like a Wolf” By Duran Duran, and “You Got It (The Right Stuff)”

Michael Jackson • Michael Jackson was one of the biggest pop stars of his time because he rocked the nation with this new style of music. • Some Of his biggest songs were “Thriller”, “Off The Wall” And “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” • He was a huge hit and one of the most popular people during the 80’s

  7. Rap • Rap music is based on fast moving rhyming lyrics. • Some OF the Biggest rap groups Included Vanilla ice, The Beastie Boys, And Run DMC. • Some OF their songs include “Ice Ice Baby” By Vanilla Ice, “Its Tricky” By Run DMC and “Hey Ladies” By The Beastie Boys.

  8. R&B • Is a music genre of American popular music, the current iteration of the genre that began in the 1940s as rhythm and blues music. • Some big R&B singers of the 80’s were Whitney Huston, Janet Jackson, and Tina Turner

  9. MTV • MTV was introduced to cable television in 1981 and was a major groundbreaker in not only the cable television industry but ultimately the Music industry. • MTV increased the sales of Many artists because it gave them the ability to be known without the radio.

  10. MTV • MTV was a completely new impact on America. The ability to see your favorite artist in a music video was about the coolest thing in the 1980s. With MTV, more and more people began having more knowledge of different artists and different styles of music, making the artists more and more popular.
