  2. 접속사 란?단어와 단어, 구와 구, 절과 절 을 연결해 주는 역할을 한다 • They are David and Jane. • (단어와 단어 연결) • He has a black dog and a white dog. • (구와 구 연결) • My father is a teacher and my mother is, too. (절과 절 연결)

  3. 뒤의 말을 대등한 관계로 연결해 주면서 -와, 그리고 등의 뜻을 나타내며, 명령문 뒤에서는그러면 의 뜻임 1. 접속사 and 는 • You and I are Koreans. • He turned off the TV andturned on • the radio. • Work hard, and you will succeed.

  4. 2. 접속사but은? • 서로대립 되는 내용을 연결하는 말로, 그러나, 하지만 등의 뜻을 나타낸다. • I stayed at home, but my brother went out. • She is poor but happy. • She is not a pianist but a violinist.

  5. 3. 접속사or 는? • 또는 의 뜻이며, 명령문 뒤에서는 그렇지 않으면 의 뜻이 된다. • Will you go by train or bus? • Is this a door or a window? • Hurry up, or you will miss the train.

  6. 4. 접속사that • 이끄는 명사절은 주어,목적어,보어의 역할을 하며 -하다는 것 의 뜻을 나타낸다. • It is certain thathe is honest. • (가주어) (진주어) • The truth is that I know nothing about it. (보어절) • They think that he is very kind. (목적절).

  7. 목적절을 이끄는 접속사 that은 생략가능 • I know (that) he is very busy.. • She believes (that) he will come back. • think, believe 등이 부정의 문장을 목적어로 갖는 경우에는 think, believe 등의 동사를 부정으로 만든다. • I think. + She will not come again. • I don’t think that she will come again.

  8. 5. 때를 나타내는 접속사 • 접속사 when: --할 때 • When I grow up, I will be a doctor. • 접속사 after: --한 후 • After I wash my hands, I’ll have breakfast. • 접속사before: --하기 전에 • Before we have lunch, we’ll come home. • 접속사 until(till):--할 때 까지 • I will stay at home until the rain stop.

  9. 접속사 while: --하는 동안에 • I cleaned my house while my parents went out. • 접속사as: --할 때, --하면서, --할수록 • He smiled at me as he got on the train. • As we go up, the air grows colder.

  10. 6. 상관 접속사 • both A and B: A와 B 둘 다 • He gave me both food and money. • not only A but also B = B as well as A: A뿐만 아니라 B도 또한 • He is not only poor but also lazy. = He is lazy as well as poor. • neither A nor B: A와 B 둘 다 아닌 • She can neither sleep nor eat.

  11. 7. 기타 접속사 • 접속사if: 만약 --이라면 • If he is right, you are wrong. • 명령문, and -- 와 if • Work hard, and you will succeed. = If you work hard, you will succeed. • 명령문, or -- 와 if --- not • Hurry up, or you will miss the bus. = If you don’t hurry up, you will miss the bus.

  12. 접속사because: --때문에 • I went home early because I was tired. • 접속사 though: 비록 --이지만 • Though he is poor, he is always happy.

  13. 형 성 평 가 문 제 because • 다음 괄호 안에서 알맞은 말을 고르시오. 1. I laughed ( if, because, though) it was very funny. 2. I will help you (if, because, though) you come. 3. (If, Because, Though) it rained, we went on a picnic. 4. Study hard, (and, or, if) you’ll succeed. 5. Su-mi can swim, (and, but, so) I can’t. if Though and but
