  12. ACSM continued • Who can join ACSM?... • What do they offer? Health Fitness Certification – CPT, HFS, GEI Clinical Certifications– CES, RCEP Specialist Certification – CET, CIFT, PAPHS

What certifications are useful for ESCAPE Fitness? • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) -- Certified Personal Trainers develop and implement safe, effective exercise programs to help healthy individuals accomplish their fitness goals. • Certified Health Fitness Specialist (HFS) -- Health Fitness Specialists, slightly more advanced in degree than a personal trainer, work with individuals who have medically controlled diseases. • Certified Group Exercise Instructor (GEI) -- Group Exercise Instructors teach effective, enjoyable group exercise classes and are able to modify exercises based on group needs. • Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) -- Clinical Exercise Physiologists assist clients being treated by a physician for cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic, neuromuscular or immunological disease. This is considered ACSM’s most prestigious credential.
