MEGA’s Trade Promotion Role Defined:- MEGA Trade Promotion was established to promote international trade through the coordination and management of trade development and trade promotion activities. In doing this it aims to both instill an export culture in local companies and create an enabling environment for the development and support of exporting SMME’s.

  5. Trade Development:-the identification of new opportunities for export and the development of enterprise capability in exporting. • Trade Promotion:-the marketing of competitive products in targeted countries

  6. Trade Promotion v Trade Development Closely interrelated and mutually dependent. • Trade Promotion cannot be effective unless supported by trade development. • Trade development serves no purpose unless export ready firms are supported to break into foreign markets.

  7. Our Clients:- • Aspiring Exporters Our Objective:- Create Export Capacity To convert interest and enthusiasm into actual export capacity. 2. Potential Exporters Our Objective:- Actual Export Sales To convert latent export capacity into actual export sales. 3. Current Exporters Our Objective:-Increased Competitiveness To increase international competitiveness resulting in new and expanded export market.
