Motivation

This study aims to examine the predictability of tropical cyclone reduction in forecast skill using TIGGE ensemble forecasts. It compares the ensemble spread and different development scenarios, explores physical properties, and analyzes recent studies with ECMWF and NCEP EPS. The study also explores the use of TIGGE instead of ECMWF-EPS to learn more about ET-related processes and investigates the potential for reducing forecast skill.
