EU-China Environmental Governance Programme 中欧环境治理项目 EGP Objective: To contribute to the efforts of the Chinese Government and general public to improve environmental protection in China and promote local sustainable development for the benefit of the people through public participation and accountability in China.

  5. EU-China Environmental Governance Programme 中欧环境治理项目 EGP two Component approach: The EGP employs a two component approach. Component 1, grant based support to local-level “Partnership Projects”, is managed directly by the EU Delegation in BeiJing Component 2 provides capacity improving technical assistance inputs to Ministry of Environmental Protection environmental governance officials and professionals at the Central level .

EU-China Environmental Governance Programme 中欧环境治理项目 • EGP management structure: • PSC – Project Steering Committee – jointly chaired by the EC and MOFCOM to guide & oversee program activities. • PTF – Project Task Force – set up by the MEP under the leadership of a full-time national Project Director. • PSF – Project Support Facility – to supply technical and administrative assistance to the PTF vel .
