Costumer: Mr Li • Occupation: Tally clerk at an electrical appliances shop • MonthlyIncome: RMB2300 • Purpose of Loan: Purchasing electrical appliances • Purchase goods: Fridge and wash machine • Repayment period : 12months • Monthly repayment: RMB 215 Case Study: Mr Li is a tally clerk at an electrical appliances store in Changsha and recently married. He chose Home Credit China to apply installment service to buy a fridge and a wash machine for his new house. The sales agent carefully asked Mr. Li about his income and repayment capacity. Then he suggested Mr. Li the plan that taking a 12-month loan and paying 215 yuan per month. This plan enabled Mr. Li to make repayments on time every month and didn’t put too much pressure on his daily life. At the same time, the agent clearly explained the details of the lending service to Mr. Li , the amount of monthly payment, payment details, fees associated with payment-by-installment. He also suggested Mr. Li to discuss the debt with his wife. Mr. Li and his wife then dialed the customer service hotline of HCC to consult about the monthly repayment and details payment-by-installment fees. When Mr. Li signed the agreement, the sales agent of Home Credit explained the content of agreement to the couple, and also gave Mr. Li a brochure to take home, which included a detailed explanation of the monthly payment, payment date, payment considerations and other matters. He told Mr. Li to call the customer service number if he had any doubts or concerns. • Mr. Li’s consumer experiences: • It’s important to accept advise from professional persons, being far away from over debt. • I made sure that I was clear about the monthly repayment, and that I understood the important details before signing the contract. • I carefully considered my monthly budget and how much I could afford to repay and also discuss with family members to avoid difficulties or pressures on the family budget in the future. • My monthly repayment is  RMB 215, which means I pay approx .RMB 7 a day – less than a packet of cigarettes, allowing me to better budget my spending without using up savings and buy two appliance at one time.

Costumer: Mr. Tian • Occupation: Farmer • MonthlyIncome: RMB 3500 • Purpose of Loan: Buy new truck to improve goods delivery business • Purchase goods: Small truck • Repayment period : 24 months • Monthly repayment: RMB 1,740 Case Study: Mr. Tian is a self-employed farmer running fruit and vegetable delivery service in the suburbs of Yichang city in Hubei province. He chose Home Credit China to apply installment to buy a new truck to improve his goods delivery business safely and cost-effectively in order to increase the income of his family. In the beginning, Mr. Tian intended to buy a latest foreign brand truck, but he could not afford to make lump-sum payment. The sales agent of Home Credit China carefully asked Mr. Tian about his needs, income and repayment capacity, and then recommended a more cost-effective domestic truck and a 24-month loan with monthly payment of 1,740 yuan to him. Although it was not the truck Mr. Tian had originally wanted, he acknowledged that it was a more realistic option that would put less financial strain on his business. This plan enabled Mr. Tian to make repayments on time every month, avoiding any deferred payment charges and potential defaults or situations where he might get into arrears with his payments. Before signing the agreement, Mr. Tian asked the sales agent to explain some terms of the agreement he did not understand, as he did not want to sign a contract without understanding it. He was also reassured when the agent pointed his attention to the HCC customer help number in case they later had any doubts or concerns or got into financial difficulty. • Mr. Tian’s consumer experiences: • I was glad that I decided to go for a less state-of-the-art truck in the end. I do not need so much hi-tech equipment. It really made a difference to the monthly repayments and meant that I could purchase it and make the monthly payments without any concerns or stress. • Before signing the contract, if any question, it’s better to ask sale agent or call customer service hotline to make it clear. • My monthly repayment is  RMB 1,740, which means I pay less than RMB 60 a day. I have subsequently been able to increase my family income with the new machine and was able to pay off the loan just over one year later.

Costumer: Mr. Han • Occupation: Security guard at a construction company • MonthlyIncome: RMB2000 • Purpose of Loan: Reduce housework burden for his mother • Purchase goods: Washing machine • Repayment period : 9 months • Monthly repayment: RMB 123 Case Study: Mr. Han is a security guard at a construction company. He chose Home Credit China to apply installment service to buy a washing machine for his mother, so she doesn’t need to wash clothes by hand in the cold water in winter. The sales agent carefully asked Mr. Han about his needs, income and repayment capacity, and then suggested Mr. Han take a 9-month loan and paying 123 yuan per month. This plan enabled Mr. Han to make repayments on time every month and didn’t put too much pressure on his daily life. At the same time, the agent clearly explained the details of the lending service to Mr. Han, the amount of monthly payment, payment details, fees associated with deferred payment. After carefully reading the content of agreement and calling the service centre to clear his doubts and concerns, Mr. Han signed the agreement. The sales agent also gave Mr. Han a leaflet of the lending service that Home Credit prepares for clients, which introduces the amount of monthly repayment, designated repayment date, methods of repayment, and risk notice, etc. Mr. Han could call the service number stated in the leaflet if he was unclear about anything else. • Mr. Han’s consumer experiences: • I carefully considered my monthly budget and how much I could afford to repay to avoid difficulties or pressures on the family budget in the future. • I made sure that I was clear about the monthly repayment, and that I understood the important details before signing the contract. Thishelped me understand the installment concept – I didn’t want to get into anything I didn’t understand. • My monthly repayment is  RMB 123, which means I pay RMB 4 a day – less than I spend on my mobile. The plan recommended by the sales staff is affordable for me, and it was convenient to get the loan in the retailer’s shop while I was shopping.

Costumer: Mr. CSU • Occupation: Employee at alogistics company • MonthlyIncome: RMB4000 • Purpose of Loan: Earn extra money to increase household income • Purchase goods: Motorbike • Repayment period : 12months • Monthly repayment: RMB 463 Case Study: Mr. XU works for a logistics company in Jinan city. He decided to buy a motorbike and work part-time on weekends as a deliveryman in order to make some extra money to compensate for household expenses . Under his friend‘s recommendation, Mr. XU went to a Home Credit partner shop and told the on-site Home Credit staff member that he would like to buy a 7,000 Yuan motorbike by installment and wished to repay the loan in a short period of time as he is afraid that the longer the monthly installment plan brings him more pressures. But the staff persuaded him to consider a 12-month loan package with a monthly payment of 463 Yuan because they believe the plan Mr. XU chosen will negatively influence the current living standard of his family, based upon his current income, which contradicts the Home Credit’s service concept --improving customer’s life with affordable and convenient installments. Mr. XU accepted the staff’s recommendation and provided his ID proof with the income proof issued by his employer and got the loan very swiftly. Next, the staff guided him to read the contract and explained the financial terms he did not understand and emphasized such details as the amount of monthly payment and payment options. Now Mr. XU rides the motorbike to work. This not only makes commuting less exhausting but is also economical as he can share the cost of petrol with his workmates whom he brings to work and home. On the weekends Mr. XU rides his motorbike to deliver parcels as a part-time deliveryman, which also increases his income. • Mr. XU’s consumer experiences: • I have been working part-time for half a year. Now I can make 1,000 Yuan more per month. It is easy to use the extra money I earned to repay the loan. It will not take long for me to pay off the balance completely.    • Home Credit staff will analyze your repayment capability and give a recommendation to avoid us impulsive consumption. • I also receive text messages from Home Credit every month prior to the payment date ,reminding me to budget carefully. Their service is really customer-friendly and convenient.
