  1. Ronald McDonaldHouse Charities: Pop Tab Wars

  2. My sub staff put on the Pop Tab Wars. It runs similarly to Penny Wars, only each floor gets their own container and they collect as many pop tabs as possible. My Assistant hall director managed a bulletin board that tracked the success of each of the floors. The winning floor gets an ice cream social. The Pop Tab Wars went for 2 weeks. Each of the sub staff member had a job: collecting the pop tabs, weighing the pop tabs, doing the graph, etc. When the program ends, a visit for hall residents to a local Ronald McDonald House is facilitated where residents volunteer some of their time. The attached bulletin board is used as a advertisement for the program.Submitted by VaNessa Thompson, Resident Mentor, Michigan State University
