Motivation . Motivation. When you are motivated you can find solutions to problems easily. When you are unmotivated problems become the solution to do nothing. “where there is a will there is a way”. Motivation. Study is a lot easier to do when you are motivated.

  2. Motivation • When you are motivated you can find solutions to problems easily. • When you are unmotivated problems become the solution to do nothing. • “where there is a will there is a way”

  3. Motivation • Study is a lot easier to do when you are motivated. • Motivation is the obstacle to achieving your potential. • Motivation answers the “why to study” while the study skills answers the “how to study”

  4. Motivation • There are two types of Motivation • Intrinsic Motivation • Extrinsic Motivation

  5. Intrinsic Motivation • This comes from within. • Love of a subject. • Wanting to do your best. • Wanting to succeed.

  6. Extrinsic Motivation • Comes from external sources. • Teachers hounding you to do your work. • Meeting Parental Expectations. • The Leaving Cert • Class Tests.

  7. Group Dynamics • In any group you are either an energy giver or an energy taker. • Energy Givers • Pull the group along by • Participating positively in class. • Ask Intelligent Questions that are on topic. • Come on time.

  10. Ways to improve motivation • Keep a routine. • Have reminders of why you study to encourage yourself. • Leave the workspace, tidy so when you finish it will be there when you return. • Keep a list of what you want to achieve. • Have high hopes.

Ways to improve you motivation • Have a healthy lifestyle • Balance work with fun or vice versa • Eat Healthily • Get enough rest • Appreciate the efforts of other people. • Reflect of your own expectations of yourself. • Look at your lifestyle as a whole, what is my business? • Time Management • Good relationships with those around you.
