  4. Perpendicular Lines • Two lines that intersect to form a right angle.

  5. Parallel Lines • Two coplanar lines that do not intersect. • Also, as you learned in algebra, they have the same slope.

  6. Conjecture • A statement that you think is true. An ‘educated guess’.

  7. Distance (point to line) • The distance from a point to a line is the length of the perpendicular segment from the point to the line.

  8. Segment Bisector • A line that divides a segment into two congruent parts.

  9. Midpoint • The point where a bisector intersects the segment.

  10. Perpendicular Bisector • A bisector that is perpendicular to a segment.

  11. Angle Bisector • A line or ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles.
