Aki Energy is a non-profit social enterprise that works with First Nations to create employment and business opportunities through geothermal energy.
In our first year • 110 homes retrofitted • 720 PAYS eligible households in Peguis and Fisher River. • 73 kilometres of loop installed. • 22 Band members employed. • $1,615,130 financed through Manitoba Hydro’s PAYS program to date. • $143,000 estimated annual utility bill reduction. • $3 million bill reduction over 20 years.
