  3. THE YOUNG ACHIEVERS AWARDS WERE FOUNDED FIVE YEARS AGO. TODAY WE LAUNCH THE 4TH EDITION OF THE YOUNG ACHIEVERS AWARDS.

  4. We recogniseand honor outstanding Ugandan youth who have excelled in different fields for their innovation, excellence and leadership that is making a positive contribution in transforming our communities.

  5. For the past years we have recognized outstanding individuals who have shaped our country in one way or another and inspired others to pursue their dreams.

  6. Our overall objective is to showcase the best of young entrepreneurs and leaders who serve as examples for their peers.

  7. The biggest challenge for us has been how best to offer onward support for enterprises and initiatives of these Young Achievers.

  8. It is a great privilege and joy for us to host the 4th edition of the Awards.

  9. It has been a great challenge every time, however, we are most grateful to the founding Board of Directors who offered great support and direction, sponsors and all those who believe in our vision.

These Awards are an excellent opportunity to say thank you and to celebrate achievements and excellence and youth leadership, and we look forward to celebrating this event on the 19th December Victory Hall, Serena Kampala Hotel” Ms Patricia NsanzeNzeyi, Board Chairperson Young Achievers Awards. “

  11. World Economic Forum Outlook on Global Agenda 2014 puts 50% on poverty, Unemployment and youth unemployment as Africa's key challenges.

  12. These Achievers are en example of the great opportunity that lies in the huge numbers of African youths, as opposed to being the problem.

  13. The Awards ceremony will see the presence of key young people working closely elevate our country and as an organisation, we continue to support strong and robust Youth Engagement in our communities and giving young people tools to realise their true potential.

  14. Most importantly, we thank our sponsors Dettol, Ericsson, Nile Breweries, NSSF, Dembe Group, UCC, African Alliance, UMEME, Uganda Development Bank, Export Promotions Board, Silk Events, Milege Band and Media 256, for supporting this cause.

  15. We believe we must do all we can to celebrate and publicise these brilliant young role models to inspire more young people to fulfill their true potential. The Awards provide an important opportunity to do just that.
