Understanding God's Stewardship of Resources and the Call for Justice in Our Economy

This text explores the concept of resource ownership from a biblical perspective. It emphasizes that while God owns all finite resources, human exploitation has led to injustice and inequality. Key scriptures like Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Isaiah highlight the need for equitable distribution and access to resources. The principles of gleaning, Sabbath laws, and fair stewardship are crucial in achieving Shalom—a state of peace and justice. It warns against hoarding and self-aggrandizement, urging believers to trust in God’s provision and prioritize the needs of all.
