  2. Walt Disney • The Walt Disney World Resort is the world's most-visited entertainment resort. • There are 33 resorts and hotels located on the Walt Disney World property. It was first opened on October 1, 1971. • This was Walt’s dream, a different kind of park, where parents and children could have fun together.

  3. Walt Disney World Resort takes up about 30,500 acres, making it approximately the same size as San Francisco.The estimated annual attendance at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park is 17.2 million, followed by Epcot with 10.9 million , Hollywood Studios with 9.7 million and Animal Kingdom with 9.5 million. The Walt Disney World Railroad, which serves 1.5-million passengers annually, is an authentic 1928 steam-powered train.

  4. My Trip For my trip, I plan on staying March 25th through March 28th. I will leave at 3 in the morning on March 25th to be at the hotel by check in time, which is 3 p.m. I will be traveling 691.4 miles to my hotel from my driveway! This is an 11 hour and 28 minute trip without stopping.

  5. Gasoline • The vehicle has a 20 gallon gas tank and can go 21 miles per gallon. This mean that I can drive 420 miles on each tank of gas. • The average price of gas from Savannah, TN to Orlando, FL is $3.90! I will be spending $238.37 on gas there and back. I am allowing $300 for gas to drive around Orlando and in case I get lost on the way.

  6. Where I’ll Be Staying I will be staying at the Ramada International Drive Lakefront Hotel, in Orlando, Florida. • This resort is approximately 10 miles from Disney World and is overlooking Sandy Lake.

  7. Where I’ll Be Staying There are 164 rooms at the 12-story Ramada and all have lake views. All rooms are non-smoking and include refrigerators, microwaves, and a laundry room. I will be served a free buffet breakfast each day. The hotel has an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and offer free Wi-Fi Internet access.

  8. FoodBudget • Day 1: I will eat fast food breakfast on the way to Orlando. After I check into my hotel, I will go to Mellow Mushroom. For dinner, I will eat at California Grill, which is inside Disney World. This day I reserved $50 for food.

  9. FoodBudget • Day 2: I will be eating a free breakfast at my hotel. For lunch I plan on eating at Five Guys. I’ll be eating dinner in Disney World at the famous 50’s Prime Time Café. I reserved $50 for this day!

  10. Food Budget • Day 3: For breakfast I will be eating at the hotels free breakfast. I will be eating lunch at ‘Ohana, which is right across from Disney. I will eat diner at Le Cellier inside the park. I have put back $50 for day 3.

  11. Food Budget Day 4: My breakfast will be served free by my hotel. For lunch, I will eat at The Plaza Restaurant. I will be eating at the Tortuga Tavern for Mexican food for dinner before I head home after my day at Disney World.

  12. Disney World Tickets • I have gotten a 4 day pass ticket. Each day includes a ticket from a different park. You visit the four separate parks on four separate days, one park each day. • This ticket cost me $219.00.

  13. Disney World Parks • There are four different theme parks in Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom Park.

  15. Disney's Hollywood Studios spans 135 acres in size, its theme is show business, drawing inspiration from Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s. This was the third park built at the resort.

  16. Disney's Animal Kingdom is an animal theme park. The fourth park built at the resort, it opened on April 22, 1998. It is the largest Disney theme park in the world, covering more than 500 acres. It is also the first Disney park to be themed entirely around animal conservation.

  17. Epcot sprawls across 300 acres, is twice the size of Magic Kingdom theme park, and is divided into Future World and World Showcase.

  18. Magic Kingdom park captures the excitement of fairy tales with exciting entertainment, classic attractions, backstage tours and the famous Disney Characters.

  21. Walt Disney World Monorail System • The Walt Disney World Resort currently operates twelve monorail trains on three lines of service. The monorail system opened in 1971 with two routes, and it was expanded to three lines in 1982. The Walt Disney World Monorail operates over a span of 14.7 miles with around 50 million Disney guests traveling on the monorail each year.
