  1. Institute of Chemistry, Teaching Building, 2nd Floor, Chevron Room| 2:30PM-5:30PM • Roche C. de Guzman, Ph.D. • was educated at the University of the Philippines; and at Wayne State University, USA, where he received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Institute of Regenerative Medicine at Wake Forest University Health Sciences (WFIRM). Before coming to Wake Forest he had taught at Wayne State University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He is now connected to Virginia Tech. • His current work are geared towards the development of biomaterial constructs for replacement of damaged body structures, elucidation of molecular and cellular events following tissue and injury repair, and artificial modification and assembly of extracellular matrix molecules. While his teaching interests include Biomedical Engineering, Polymers and Biomaterials, Tissue Biomechanics, Biological Compatibility of Materials, Biomaterial Interfaces, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
