National Strategic Plan 2008- 2012 Plan revolves around 5 major axes of intervention: • Leadership (Establishment of a system to guarantee the continuity of activities against HIV/AIDS) • Reduction of risk (Education, condoms, PMTCT ) • Reduction of impact (ARV, STI screening, Surveillance, Management PLWHA) • Human rights promotion and defense (PLWHA, stigmatization) • Monitoring, Evaluation and Research

FIRST LINE ARV and ALTERNATIVE Préférentiels Alternatifs En cas d’intolérance au TDF ou d’insuffisance rénale, et d’anémie sévère En cas d’anémie ou co-infection VIH/TB En cas d’intolérance à EFV En cas d’intolérance *EFV ne doit pas être utilisé durant le premier trimestre de la grossesse Cas particulier du d4T : Les récentes études ont démontré les effets secondaires importants liés au d4T. En 2009, l’OMS conseille de cesser progressivement l’utilisation du d4T, en raison de ses effets secondaires toxiques. Toutefois, pour les patients préalablement placés sous cette molécule, avec une évolution clinique favorable, sans manifestation de toxicité ou d’intolérance, le prestataire jugera des risques encourus pour enlever ou poursuivre avec le d4T. À partir d’octobre 2010, le d4T ne sera utilisé chez les nouveaux patients qu’en présence des conditions figurant dans le tableau des régimes alternatifs.
