  2. The Charlotte Area Technology Collaborative (CATC) unites businesses, education, government and organizations to inspire and grow the advancement of a diverse and skilled technology pipeline. The Collaborative provides learning and professional growth opportunities for pre-professionals and professionals, promoting innovation and entrepreneurism, advancing the technology profession and fostering economic development. Every industry runs on technology.

  3. PILLARS of FOCUS . INSPIRE ADVANCE GROW Focus:  Pre-professionals (Grades 6-12 + University) Objective: Raise awareness of tech careers and gain early interest Focus:  Technology talent and employers Objective:  Reskilling, retaining and attracting technology talent and employers to the Charlotte region Focus:  Existing technology Professionals Objective:  Provide channels to network, share ideas & support career advancement

Women in Information Techology and Computer Science Empowered (WISE) is CATC programming focused on women, and crosses all CATC pillars.  Our mission at WISE is to attract, grow and support the number of diverse women in technology at every stage of their careers, from the student to the executive.  We do this by connecting and engaging the greater Charlotte ecosystem through events, mentoring, outreach and networking.

Tonight’s Event The Future of Tech is Women Purpose: Convene various organizations (educational, non-profit and corporate affinity groups) to unite the community and establish a collaborative foundation to grow and advance Charlotte's women in tech ecosystem.  Approach: Social Networking, Facilitated small-group discussions Success Defined: Learn about one another; Identify opportunities to work together for the greater good of CLT women in technology; improve understanding of the aggregated ongoing efforts/calendar, commitment to continue collaboration

  7. Instructions/Schedule: • Three 20-minute small group facilitated discussions • 6:20 – 6:50PM Round 1 • 6:50 – 7:20PM Round 2 • 7:20 – 7:50PM Round 3 • Rotate through INSPIRE, ADVANCE and GROW topics • Follow the colored stickers on name tags • Facilitators (purple sashes) • INSPIRE:     Amy Nichols, Liz Patrick • ADVANCE:  MiQuita Burks, Danielle Volman • GROW:        Kim Andryc, Meredith LaBonte • Reconvene at 7:50
