  3. Egypt Population Population is increasing steadily with most people located in Delta and Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo coming in third. The gender split fairly even with ages clearly focused on the middle generation and leaning towards the younger people. Source: CAPMAS

  6. Economic Trends Pre-Revolution GDP growth rates were relatively high till 2008 but dropped in 2009 accompanied by a spike in inflation which then went down as GDP returned to incremental growth.
