Christian View of the Afterlife Heaven Most Christians believe in some sort of heaven Heaven is believed to be a place enjoy the presence of God and freedom from suffering and sin Purgatory/Limbo Babies who die go to Limbo Purgatory is a temporary place for people that haven’t confessed all their sins to go

Christian View of the Afterlife (continued) Hell • In Hell, the punishment is isolation from God • The bible also mentions fire and worms • These are based on interpretations of the bible • Some branches look at Hell as a concept instead of a place • Others believe it is a place to be punished eternally
