  1. ENDVISIONING:Beginning With The End In Mind…

  2. End-visioning: It’s As Biblical As It Gets…The Lamb Slain From the Foundation of the World (Rev. 13:8).

  3. What is “End-Vision?” It is the planning process that begins with the description of a desired future and is then developed through the development of a strategic and chronological work process analysis. In the context of a CPM, it is beginning with the future CPM and working backward through the detailed process of WIGTAKE until reaching the present reality. The ministry plan or master plan is then developed with the major objectives reflecting the major strategy areas discovered in the end-visioning process.

  4. An Endvisioning Approach… How The CPM Happens… 1. A “willing to receive” group is “gathered” 2. Individual(s) confronted with the gospel 3. A number of sympathizers come under spiritual conviction 4. Conversion occurs in a number of those under conviction 5. Believers are baptized 6. Believers are being discipled 7. A group of believers identify leaders 8. Group’s identified leaders are trained 9. NT church characteristics begin to appear 10. Believers recognize that they are church 11. A church growth movement is developing

  5. An Endvisioning Approach… How the Planning is Done… 1. A “willing to receive” group is “gathered” 2. Individual(s) confronted with the gospel 3. A group of believers identify leaders 8. Group’s identified leaders are trained 9. NT church characteristics begin to appear 10. Believers recognize that they are church 11. A church growth movement is developing

  6. ENDVISIONING:The Way it Occurs in Planning…

  7. Three Guiding Questions: • Is it biblical? • Is it contextual? • Is it reproducible?

  8. 1. A CPM Develops • What are the characteristics of the church? • Where do they meet? • How many members? • What characterizes the worship? • What marks the church as successful? • How and where is the Bible studied? • How does the church reproduce itself? • What is the frequency of reproduction? • What is the demographic profile of the membership? • What are the spiritual characteristics of the members?

  9. 2. NT Church Characteristics Begin to Appear • How is evangelism done? • How is the Lord’s Supper Administrated? • Who can be a leader? • What are the responsibilities of the members? • How does fellowship and member care occur? • How does the church interact with the community? • How do they organize to administrate their affairs?

  10. 3. Leadership Is Trained • What types and levels of leaders are needed? • What are the characteristics of each type of leader? • How will leaders reproduce themselves? • How will leadership training occur on the various levels? • What curriculum will be used for the training and how will it be developed? • Who will develop the curriculum?

  11. 4. Leaders are Identified • What background should they have? • How are leaders called out? • Who is seen as a potential leader?

  12. 5. Believers are Discipled (obedience-based discipleship) • Does the discipleship process lead to the type of members described in section 1? • What is the discipleship process? • Who disciples others? • What is the curriculum? • Does the process grow obedience-based, reproducing disciples?

  13. 6. Believers are Baptized • Who baptizes? • Where does baptism occur? • When does baptism occur?

  14. 7. Conversion Occurs • How will conversion be expressed? • How will the invitation to accept Christ be extended? • Will conversions occur in groups (families or villages etc.) or individually? • Are there security issues related to conversion? How will those be handled?

  15. 8. Sympathetic Hearers Come Under Conviction • How can sympathetic hearers be identified? • What are the characteristics, traits or indicators that identify those that are under conviction?

  16. 9. Individuals are Confronted With the Gospel • How will individuals be confronted with the gospel? • Who will present the gospel message?

  17. 10. A Willing-to-Receive Group is Identified • How will these people be identified? • How will they be gathered together?

  18. 11. A significant number of the target group is moved from unawareness of the gospel to awareness • How will unawareness be attacked? (abundant sowing) • How will you identify awareness?

  19. Remember... …research must impact the endvision and... Research Endvision Ministry Plan …endvision must impact the Master Plan!

  20. The End-vision Flowchart and Master Plan Now Become the Primary Working Documents for Your and Your Team…

  21. The Ministry Plan and the End-Vision... …are constantly impacted by: • Continuing research and worldview findings, • success and failures in implementing the Master Plan, • And the results of the evangelism and church planting activities.
