  3. What we hope to accomplish:

  4. This presentation brings to our attention on our dire need to improve, increase, and imagine a better future for the residents and visitors of Grosse Ile. By making changes they can promote the beauty of our home, Grosse Ile.

  5. Thefollowing fewslides areexamplesof pavementsthat needto be redone.

  6. By the small parking space on bridge

  7. We noticed that the parking space for the bridge controller is not obstructing the sidewalk in any way. The parking space is fine but it would be nice if the debris is cleaned up.

  8. These grates are unsafe to bikers that are on the road because they are parallel to the side walk instead of being perpendicular. Bike wheels could get stuck in the grate and injure the biker.

  9. Uneven pavement in front of the small parking space that needs to be repaved

  10. Obstructed Sign Locations

  11. On the west side of the bridge as it meets the land we found this uneven pavement.

  12. Uneven pavements on the east side, on the overpass that need repaving.

  13. The next 4 slidesportray hazardousand unappealing sections of pavement

  14. Trenton sideof the bridge

  15. Unappealing views of the bridge

  16. We found one of many “holes” on the bridge posts that meet the area between road and sidewalk. This is NOT safe because small children could fall in if they are not paying attention.

  17. We witnessed the guy with the hat falling down due to the poor condition of the sidewalk.

  18. Walking your bike would be much safer than riding it on the bridge.

  19. Ideas to make bridge more pedestrian/biker friendly: Add reflection tape sidewalk edges on bridge Repave pavementsCut shrubs back/remove odd plantsRepaint white lines on roads by bridgeAdd signs “Please walk your bike”Add plywood/other material to cover holes
