  1. He who gives to me teaches me to give. (Danish Proverb). Daily Reflections

  2. He who gives to me teaches me to give. (Danish Proverb). Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous;teach me to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to seek reward, except that of knowing that I do your will. Amen. St. Ignatius Loyola Daily Reflections

  3. Prayer Reflection Activities You can be generous with either your time or money. There are a number of activities taking place in the academy this week – Shoe Box Appeal, Grandparents Tea, Collection for the people affected by the disaster in the Philippines and anti bullying week. Why not choose one of them to show others what it means to be generous either with your time (by bringing an elderly person to our Grandparents Tea or by supporting someone who is being bullied) or with your money (giving to the shoebox appeal or the Philippines Disaster collection). Reflections Activities Each day choose an activity either from this sheet or an activity of your own choice based on the Thought for the Week to be completed in your tutor groups reflection time. Hymn Give me joy in my heart • Music and words can be found on V: music\Departmental\Collective Worship\ Mark 12:41-44 41-44Sitting across from the offering box, he was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. One poor widow came up and put in two small coins—a measly two cents. Jesus called his disciples over and said, “The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what they’ll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn’t afford—she gave her all.” • Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous;teach me to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to seek reward, except that of knowing that I do your will. • Amen.
