  1. Definitions • Deity: Agod or goddess; the estate or rank of a god; a person or thing revered as a god or goddess; Supreme Being • Olympian: Pertaining to Mount Olympus or dwelling thereon, as the gods of classic Greece; of, resembling, characteristic of, or suitable to the gods of Olympus; majestic or aloof; a deity • Attribute: Something attributed as belonging to a person, thing, group, etc.; a quality, character, characteristic, or property; to consider as a quality or characteristic of the person, thing, group, etc.; something used as a symbol of a particular person, office, or status • Sphere of Influence: Any area in which one nation wields dominant power over another or others • Provenance: Place or source of origin especially that of a work of art or archaeological specimen

  2. Parents of The Olympian Gods Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Dementer, Hestia, and Hera all had the same parents, Kronos and Rhea. However, Kronos was destructive, all-powerful and he ruled the “Golden Age”. Fearing that his son, Zeus, would overthrow him because of prophecy, he swallowed all of his children, except Zeus, because Rhea had managed to save him by feeding him a decoy. Many years later, Zeus had grown up and had forced Kronos to throw up Zeus’s siblings. This had led to a ten year war.
