Definitions Joint Programming This is the collective effort of the UN Agencies and national partners to develop and manage activities to support countries in their achievement of the Millennium Declaration e.g. CCA/UNDAF process. All UN Agencies can participate in joint programming. Joint Programmes When at least two UN Agencies are working towards a common result, have a common work plan and budget and joint programme document, the result is a joint programme. Joint programmes strive to meet the strategic intent of joint programming. Distinction between the two Joint programming is a process whereas a joint programme is an output of the joint programming process, concretised in a joint programme project document and related MoUs, LoAs.
Definitions Joint Project From UNDG there is no definition of a joint project. The review in the creation of this material confirmed that this term has been used historically when describing situations that are now covered in the Joint Programme definition. Common Country Programme Process (CCPP) and the Harmonized Country Programme Cycle The Common Country Programme Process, and the Harmonized Country Programme cycle is the same thing. It is the preparation of the draft CPD consistent with the UNDAF, CPAP and the AWP by the ExCom agencies, in addition to CCA/UNDAF process.
