  2. Real World Problem • Brad is going to an Ice Cream Shoppe with four people. Each Ice Cream Cone cost 3.55 dollars.

  3. Equation • The equation for this is Y = 3.55x

  4. Independent and Dependent Variables • The cost of the cones depends on the number of cones. • Cost= dependent • Number= independent • This is a function because the x value doesn’t repeat.

  5. Domain and Range The domain is a set of all the possible input values and the range is a set of all the possible output values. Domain: D (1,2,3,4,5) Range: R ($3.55, $7.10, $10.65, $14.20, $17.75)

  6. Domain and Range continued • My domain is discrete because you can’t have half an Ice Cream Cone.
