The Company What We Do Our Motivation ProductScholar is a company based in NCR region of Delhi, India. The company was founded with a mission to encourage salespersons, and improve their skills. Through surveys and experiences, we understand the problems faced by; salespersons, customers and the manufacturers. Therefore, our aim is to improve a salespersons understanding of products, and their approach in selling such products. We provide online courses about products and brands that helps salespersons improve their knowledge of that very product. This is possible with the help of; Videos, Audios, Images, Writings, and Animated Images. Through our surveys and experiences with salesmen, the idea of an online sales training is welcomed with great excitement and anticipation. Therefore, we are committed to providing an excellent online courses in different languages. Our marketing and sales experts gathered through survey, that most salespersons lack the ability to convert discussions about a certain product into sales. One of the causes is that; salesmen do not have a clear understanding or confidence in the said products. After taking our online courses, it is without a doubt, that salesmen will have a very clearer understanding of each products they deal with, and as such will be able to convert every discussions with potential customers into sales.

  4. Presentation by iWEBbic.com General Problems of a Salesperson Our survey shows that these are some of the problems faced by untrained salespersons while trying to convert discussions into sales. Any untrained salesperson lacks both basic and an advanced knowledge of product Salespersons experiences all these difficulties because most of the training programs are either too expensive or too tedious to undergo. Most salespersons do not enjoy what they do, because they have no idea what they are doing, so it becomes a burden. This is why we at product scholar started this company to help eliminate all the listed issues, and present a new and an improved era where salespersons will be proud of what they do, and have confidence in themselves for every customer that walks through the door. Any untrained salesperson has poor communication skills Any untrained salesperson possess little or no confidence in the said product Any untrained salesperson possess very little or no Knowledge of related products to showcase his/her capability and understanding of the products. This enhances his/her inability to convince potential customers to purchase the product in discussion. Poor ethics. This means that a salesperson doesn’t know how to approach and convince a potential customer to purchase a product, without coming out too strong or annoying. Any untrained sales person has little or no interest in this particular career.

Below are some of the benefits that any company/manufacturer using ProductScholar enjoys. Cost of  trainings will be reduced with our online trainings. Physical training costs a lot. It’s always very hard in terms of timings, working hours, cost of trainings, place of training,  to bring everyone under one roof for training.  With ProductScholar, we will eliminate these factors. Companies can issue certificates to salespersons for courses taken under a particular product. Its more flexible for employees to take online courses instead of physical trainings. Company can send resources, sales tip, sales pitch or any other information/communications about a certain product to salespersons. Just training is not enough. A good assessment and certificate for completion of courses and its assessment makes a big difference. A salesperson can really be inspired by obtainment of certificates. It will change the hiring process of salespersons. It’s also more easy to validate the experience and knowledge of a product product with certificates. Companies can assign and or introduce new courses to salespersons Companies can establish relationship with salespersons This will help salespersons become an asset of a company Send market news/updates/announcements to salespersons so they will be updated about new/modified brand which will help in their sales skill.

The survey was carried out in cities such as: Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Mumbai. Below are some of the results we got from our survey. Diagram 1 Do you have any sales training? 60% 40% As shown on Diagram 1, 60% of the salespersons we interacted with said they haven’t had sales training before. The remaining 40% said yes to having obtained sales training. Diagram 2 How often do you have sales training? 20% We conducted more survey to find out the frequency of sales training, below are our findings. As shown on Diagram 2, 65% of the salespersons we interacted with said they barely have sales training. 15% said they obtain sales training once a year, and the remaining 20% said they had training upon joining their current company. 65% 15%

How comfortable are you with computer and internet? 80% 20% Diagram 5 This particular survey was very important. We needed to find out how comfortable and acquainted, salespersons are with computer/internet. As shown on Diagram 5, 80% in all big brands said they are very comfortable, while 20% said they are ok with computer and internet. 2% Do you think online courses/trainings will help you with your career? Diagram 6 We got an almost uniform answer on this question. A greater percentage of the salespersons we interacted with said yes. They welcomed the idea with great excitement. Diagram 7 Diagram 8 What language do you prefer for training? 50% 50% 75% Majority of the salespersons we asked this question said both English language and their Native language. But when we narrowed it down to one choice, majority said Native language. That’s why, our training program is available in many languages, including Indian languages. Diagram 7 represents comfortable language, while Diagram 8 represents preferred language. 25% Diagram 9 Do you think that Certificates for completed courses will boost your career? 100% We got a uniform answer on this question. All they salespersons we interacted with said YES. See illustration on Diagram 9. 100% Said Yes.

Reasons why salesmen prefer online courses: When we asked this questions, we got a lot of answers. Below are the top answers: A clearer knowledge and understanding of products at little or no expense Unscheduled training programs makes it possible for them to take the courses whenever they want. Online courses eliminates some of the problems with physical training. For example, once you lose focus, you miss that particular aspect. But with online course, you can go over and over until you fully comprehend it. There’s flexibility in both the training and the cost of the training. The above diagram illustrates the advantages of using an online sales training program, based on the survey we carried out. The negative views is perhaps negligible. The idea is welcomed with great excitement and anticipation. With an updated website, salespersons can easily visit a particular manufacture’s page to see latest updates.
