  1. Operational Definitions Intelligence According to the web wordbook, the term intelligence means “the capability to accumulate and apply data, the faculty of thought and reason”. Operationally the term intelligence means that the numerous high school students' in Raven's customary Progressive Matrices. High School Level According to Webster's on-line wordbook highschool level students means that, a college particularly in wherever “students studying from category eight to category 10 between the age thirteen to 15”. Operationally the term highschool level students visit students learning at school 9 of the chosen faculties situated each in Madurai and Virudhunagar districts. Objectives of the Study ·To notice the extent of intelligence of highschool students. ·To establish the numerous distinction if any in intelligence of highschool students in terms of space of study, gender, medium of instruction and board of college. Hypotheses of the Study H1: The mental test numerous highschool students is below average.

  2. H2: there's no important distinction in mental test scores of highschool students in terms of space of study, gender, medium of instruction and board of college. Method Survey methodology was used for the study. Sample and Sampling Technique In this study, stratified sampling technique was used. Considering the 2 strata as Madurai district and Virdhunagar district, 847 samples from Madurai district and 717 samples from Virudhunagar district were drawn randomly. the overall range of samples taken for the study is 1564 highschool students' of sophistication 9. Of the overall 1564 samples, 847 samples were from thirteen faculties of Madurai district and 717 samples were from thirteen faculties of Virudhunagar district.
