General aims of the HND • To prepare candidates for employment in an accounting related post at assistant level such as accounts technician, assistant accountant and accounts supervisor and for further career progression into a senior management or business leadership role. • To prepare candidates for progression to further study in accounting and finance or business management discipline. • To prepare candidates for progression to professional accounting bodies’ qualifications.
