  4. Integers • Integers are represented in math by using the number line that extends right and left from 0. • Here are some integers on the number line:

  5. Comparing Integers • When you compare two integers, the lesser (smaller) number is to the left, and the greater (larger) number is to the right. • For example, –3 is less than 35. • This might surprise you: – 39 is less than – 3.
