Conversion to ICD-10 has some uncertain implications; it can affect the provider’s business processes in multiple ways, some of which are difficult to predict
A major impact to providers will be accurate and timely claim reimbursement.

Conclusions: It appears that providers are still working on their impact analyses, which (according to our ICD-10 timeline) should have been completed in January 2011. Most major activity is planned for 2012, with partner testing sometime in 2013. This is shrinking the amount of time for testing. Vendor delivery remains a concern for plans and providers.
