  2. Chef • On the job Chef’s have many tasks like… • They prepare and present food to a client/custimer. • To develop new foods and new ways to prepare them.

  3. Hours • The average hours that a chef works are…. • Around 9 hours a day. Usually your day will start just before the restaurant opens and just after the restaurant closes.

  4. Salary? • The average salary for a chef just starting out is…. • Around 50,000 a year and that is just starting out a seasoned chef can earn more then 100,000 a year depending on were you work.

  5. Amount of education • To be a head chef it takes 4 years of culinary school plus you need at least 2 years of job experience.

  6. Is this job in demand? • Yes. A chef’s job is in high demand for the 2009-2010 year and is excepted to be needed for years to come.
