  2. What is personality? The particular combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral response patterns of an individual. Refers to dispositions in the person that help to determine his behavior and that differ from one person to another.

Why is it important to know about your personality? • It can help you academically • It can help identify your strengths & weaknesses • It can help you develop better relationships by becoming more understanding and accepting of people who are different from you • It can help choose a major and a career choice

  5. Carl Jung Typology Jung concluded that differences in behavior result from people’s inborn tendencies to use their minds in different ways. As people act on these tendencies, the develop patterns of behavior.

  6. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Created during World War II to help women entering the workforce for the first time. A questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.
