  3. TEXTBOOK Required Materials: Lial and Hornsby; College Algebra, 10th ed; Addison Wesley; ISBN Number: Textbook Only:  0321499131

  4. Graphing Calculator REQUIRED • TI 83, TI 83 Plus, TI 83 Silver Edition or TI 84, TI 84 Plus or TI 84 Silver Edition recommended.  TI 82 not recommended.  TI 89 Calculators will not be permitted on exams.

  5. Quizzes • Eight quizzes will be assigned. You need to complete the quizzes online by the due date.

  6. Make-up Exams • There will be four partial tests and a cumulative final test. • There are no make - ups for missed exams. • The final test may replace one missing test grade provided that you contact me the test day and bring a documented excuse for the absence. • A second missed test, for any reason, will be given a zero score.

  7. I do not drop grades.

  8. Cell phones and beepers • Cell phones are not allowed out during class time! • Any student who takes out (and uses) their cell phone during class or disrupts the class by talking excessively may be asked to leave. • This will count as an absence.
