  2. 1st time at the Olympics • In St. Moritz in 1928 and 1948. However, skeleton was not adopted as an Olympic discipline until the 2002 in Salt Lake City Olympic games.

  3. Different events at Sochi • One event competitions on Thursday February 13th. • Two event finals on Friday 14th and Friday February 15th.

  4. Equipment required • Special durable helmets that protect the head from injury. • Gloves for athletes are made of leather and protect against damage. • A sled with steel runners. • Race suit. • Goggles
