Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors! A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. Camp Zone® counselors are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons.   2. themes Chesterbrook Academy Camp Zone 2013 School Age Summer of Curiosity Week 1 June 17 -- Imagine It! Close your eyes and imagine the fun filled summer you are about to experience! Imagine the new friends and new discoveries you will make along your journey! Your next 11 weeks are going to be packed with fun field trips, cooking projects, gardening, sports, water activities, and so much more!  Week 6 July 22 -- Waterworks Splish- Splash H20! Water makes playtime fun in the sun! They will be introduced the different forms of water (ice, steam), and learn how water is not only important in their everyday lives, but can also be a splashing good time! Weeks 2 June 24 -- Ooey Gooey Fun Be ready to get your hands dirty and enjoy the week dedicated to squishy, slimy, stinky science. Ooey Gooey activities for children are both enjoyable and fun.  The children will discover new elements through taste, smell and touch. .  Week 7 July 29 – Seventh Inning Stretch Pick your team and play ball. We will introduce your child to games that are played with a ball around the world. We will also have an opportunity to rumble, tumble and roll our way through movement. Week 3 July 1 -- Musical Moments Come groove to the beat as we explore the rhythms of music through the ages and around the globe! Throughout the week, they will enjoy music, movement, and instrumentation for a delightful appreciation of music in all of its forms. Week 8 August 5 – Spin, Splatter and Sculpt Create your own experience as we spin the wheel, splatter with paint and sculpt using clay. Imagination is the limit as your child explores a variety of art mediums and techniques.  This week will culminate with an art show featuring the  unique work by our Chesterbrook Academy artists. Week 4 July 8 – The Sky is the Limit!.  We will use our creativity and imaginations to construct our own life size space shuttle and take off to a far off galaxy and look at Earth from above!!  We will learn about objects in space including the sun, the moon, and the stars and even create our own planets in this fun filled week. Week 9 August 12 – Gaga for Gardening! Enjoy fresh air and fun, wildlife and water, pine trees and pollinators, bees and butterflies, creeks and critters! From fruits and veggies to plants and flowers, children will explore all of the wonders that a garden has to offer! Week 5 July 15 -- Top Chef CHOP CHOP…Join our Top Chefs as we teach your kids to have fun, eat healthy, develop or hone their cooking skills and experiment in the kitchen. While cooking delicious food, we will improve math and reading skills all in a fun way, while expanding their culinary palate. Week 10 August 19 -- Best of the Best! A great week to share and show the most memorable camp experiences of the summer.  We will be experiencing the “Best of the Best” activities that we shared throughout the summer!  Week 11 August 26 – Wrap Up Week
