Sentence Transitions

This presentation will look at six sentence transitions that you can use when you write sentences that convey the meaning of cause and effect.

For the first five transitions, the punctuation is the same. You can end the first sentence with a period, and start the new sentence with a capital letter or you can end the first “sentence” with a semicolon and start the second “sentence” with a small letter. In both cases, the transition is followed by a comma.
