  4. The Shadows • We’re a bit late • Communication and Interaction should be more effective

  5. What should be done immediately • PhD mobility should start asap (all partners) • Set up a plan for technology transfer network and for industrial exhibition (mostly Asian partners) • Set up a plan for summer school. • We have to start the activity related to the definition of a Master Curriculum on the Semantic Web (Asian Partners + Italy and Austria) • Start the e-learning portal (involves mostly Trento, Innsbruck should contribute course material) • start accounting (time sheets, expenses reports) – all partners

  6. What should be done soon • plan and start young faculty and faculty mobility (all partners) • start the technology transfer network and the industrial exhibition (mostly Asian partners) • set up a plan for the knowledge management portal (Ireland + Italy).

  7. What should be done on a longer run • set up a plan for shared Master instances • set up a plan for shared PhD

  8. IMPORTANT: Accounting! We expect by the end of September (end of 3° quarter): • Expenses with original receipts • (“this receipt is issued in two originals, one of internal accounting and one for the European Union”) • Time sheets (annex 11) • (average of 1/36 of the coordinator time per month over first 6 months) • “A person in the position of Prof. X would receive a salary of Y”

  13. Open discussion: PhD mobility • Do you envision any problem? • Can you find a suitable number of students? • 6 months is a problem? • Student(s) to Poland: 1 or 3 part time? • Are our research topics close enough to actually exchange students? How can we make them closer if they are not?

  14. Open discussion: Technology transfer network and industrial exhibition • The workshop on Industrial Application was cancelled due to insufficient response • How should this activity be organized? • Do you have hints?

  15. Reminder on the budget • 5+1 Areas: • Human resources • Travel • Equipment • Other cost, services (sponsorships) • Other (grants) • Administrative (max 7% of above) • 3+1 Payments

  16. Reminder on cofinancing • All non-EU projects can be used! • E.g.: • Additional student grants • Additional professor mobility grants • Local support to the project activities (e.g. hosting)

  17. Open discussion: Summer School • Two options: • Join SSSW07 • Create an Asian Summer School (cofinancing opportunity!)

  18. Open discussion: Master • Do you envision any problem? • Can you find a suitable number of students? • What is our model? • How can we start defining a Master Curriculum? Can we take as a model the Shared Master of EASE ? • Do you have learning material that you could contribute for a Master Curriculum repository ? • (cofinancing opportunity!)
