  1. IMPACT OF WATER OPTICAL PROPERTIES ON RECONSTRUCTION: STATUS HAROLD YEPES-RAMIREZ IFIC, February 18th 2010

  2. LAST COLLABORATION MEETING @ CERN: •  Six MC runs for different absorption length (55 m and 60 m): • Three runs with the same h value and different scattering spectrum. • Three runs with different h values, but h is computed in such a way that the three runs will have the same effective scattering length at 470 nm. • In total 10 runs are created: • Angular acceptance of June 2009 (Genova Meeting 2009). • MC production for neutrinos, not for atmospheric muons.

  3. NOW: • Comparisons CERN results with real data (L and Zenith). • NIKHEF selection for point sources: • Aafit v0r6 (same for my MC production). • 2007-2008 data. • Run 38216 (the most recentness from the set). • No cuts, no weights set to MC data neither rescaling factor from the lifetime for data and MC. Just to comprehend. • And the plots…

  8. TO DO: • First of all, I would like to compare step-by-step the simulation chain with previous MC official productions related through the same inputs. Compare with some plots from Annarita and Juan Pablo (i.e). • For data/MC comparisons: • Cuts: weights (w2,w3) for MC runs, normalization (nev) and scaling factors (data_lifetime / mc_lifetime). • Other details unknown for me on reconstruction. • More statistics? • Comparative plots at different values of absorption length. • Create a more efficient Macros for comparative plots with the main parameters of our interest.
