  1. What is the sport of curling?

  2. How do you play the game? • What are the objectives of the game? • How do you score? • What strategies are used and why? • What scientific principles are present in the game? • (think about friction, inertia, force, etc.) • Explain and give an example of each principle?

  3. Create a diagram that helps explain the game? • Use copy paper to make a full page diagram. • Show scientific principles at work in your diagram.

  4. How will you present your findings? • You will have a heading for each question and a well developed paragraph under each heading. • Create a bibliography that shows your sources.

  5. Rubric for Curling Paper • All heading and well developed paragraphs 25 points • Few if any grammatical errors. 10 points • Diagram explaining at least 2 scientific principles. 10 points. • Typed 10 points extra credit. • Bibliography 5 points • Paper is due MARCH 1, 2013

  6. How to Start • Be sure you copy down all five questions. They will be your headings • Start a word document and save it immediately to YOUR FOLDER. Title it “Curling”. This will be where you copy/ paste information you find that you may want to use in your final paper. • Be sure you copy/paste the URL address for each site that you use for information. Do this at the top of the information you copy paste.
