  2. Art • SONG- When people were in forbidden relationships they met at night among the stars and the moon and wrote songs to each other.

  3. Art Continued… • PAINTINGS- A reoccurring theme amongst artists with a focus on the moon is the almost cliché: • Full moon in the dark sky, right above the ocean, with the light illuminating the waves, and deep blue sea.

  4. Literature • POETRY- A Midsummer night’s dream is truly Shakespeare's sublunary play, with more uses of the word "moon" than any other play, and the only instance of "moonbeams"

  5. Language • This is the Moon alphabet, which was invented by Dr. William Moon (1818-1894).
