  3. Upcoming Issues • Spring 2013 • Mediatheme • The most popular theme in submissions is mediated representations. We have several articles under revision that will fit this theme. • W&L online • We are working with a submission to incorporate navigational and visual enhancements. • Jimmie Manning has several submissions under review for the Alternative Scholarship page.

Subscription Report • 229 journals mailed in Spring 2012 • We mail complimentary copies to all authors (total 17 for Spring 2012 issue) • 111 Institutional subscriptions  • 95 are paid and 16 are complementary/exchanges.  • Individual subscriptions • 42 paid subscriptions (as of 10/8/12) • 58 expired with the Spring 2012 issue • 25 expired with the Fall 2011 issue

  12. Women & Language Online • Alternative Scholarship page • 5 current pieces online • 2 under revision • W&L Peer-Reviewed Research Online • The Research page publishes research articles with visual and navigational features • Currently: Cold War Women • A call and more articles to come in 2013

  13. Special IssueSpring 2014 • Call for a special issue published in both print and online journals • We are thinking about interactive possibilities connecting these. • Let me know if you have any ideas!

  14. Archiving W&L • Paper copies are stored at MTU • Archival CD now for sale ($10.00) • Under discussion: digital archiving with Digital Commons software • MTU will assist us in storing both print and digital content • Subscription-based access • Will handle submission process as well

  15. Proposal: W&L Award • Best article published each year in W&L • Nominated and selected by the editorial board • We can handle this process online • A specified nomination period followed by time to review and vote • Announcement at OSCLG conference • Cash prize? • Published on website and in print

  16. Editor Position • My editorship is 2010-2013 • I would like to continue for another two years until the Spring issue of 2015 • Several projects are ongoing • MTU will support an extension • I request the board’s support for a two-year extension of my editorship
