  2. SKIPINTRO What is a secondary source? Secondary sources are resources that summarize the law and provide commentary on the law. They provide references to primary and mandatory authority. Secondary sources are not the law itself SITE MAP MAIN MENU QUIT

  3. He forgot to use secondary sources. SKIPINTRO Why begin your research with secondary sources? We use secondary sources to gain an overview of an issue or area of law and to discern vocabulary, abbreviations, terms of art and acronyms to aid in our research. Secondary sources are also an excellent way to locate citations to both primary authority and additional secondary sources and to help determine whether your issue is covered by state or federal law (or both). Most important of all in this economy, secondary sources save time and money. SITE MAP MAIN MENU QUIT
