  3. Discuss with 2/3 The prophet Muhammad saw said: “Verily, actions are only by intention. And for every person is what he has intended.” (Al Bukhari and Muslim) Explain what this hadith means for teaching. How might this hadith positively effect the way you start your teaching day?

  4. The trunk . I have here a huge trunk. Someone special gave it to me. He did not tell me what is in it, but he guaranteed me I won’t be disappointed. So I thought I bring it here today. Hope to share with you the excitement to unlock it. I have some keys here we could try. Who would like to pick a key?

List in groups what does our school need to create a positive and active learning environment and write each idea in a cardboard key.

  6. What is beneficial knowledge? Outcome game We do a circuit in the gym with the theme ‘routes’. At the end of each track collect a card. When all cards are collected we pair two matching cards One card is the lesson, one card is the outcome of learning. Mark what is beneficial or not, humbling or not. What are the reasons? We identify and list the criteria for beneficial knowledge "I seek refuge in Allah from knowledge that does not benefit and a heart that is not humbled." (Rāzī, Mafāth al-Ghayb, vCommentary on Quran 3:79)

  7. We managed to open the chest…filled with gold and jewels to teach our children Islam our real treasure to bring goodness in this life and the hereafter. Let’s explore the chest and let’s see what it gives us. We will divide the content of the treasure and in groups we will open and list what we have. Present your findings. How will these treasures enrich our teaching and our school?
