  2. INTRODUCTION TheTragedy of Macbeth, commonlycalled Macbeth, is a playby William Shakespeare about a regicide and it´saftermath.

  3. Characters Duncan – King of Scotland

  4. Banquo – Macbeth's friend and a general in the army of King Duncan

  5. Prince Malcolm – Duncan'sOldest son

  6. Prince Donalbain – Duncan's youngest son

  7. Lady Macbeth – Macbeth's wife, and later Queen of Scotland

  8. Macbeth – A general in the army of King Duncan, originally Thane of Glamis, then Thane of Cawdor and later King of Scotland

  9. Fleance – Banquo's son

  10. Macduff – TheThane of Fife

  11. Three Witches – make the prediction of Macbeth becoming a King and Banquo's children being kings.

  12. PLAY

  13. ACT l Macbeth and Banquo, meet the Three Witches.

  14. Who prophesy that: Macbeth will be, firstly Thane of Glamis, later Thane of Cawdor, and finally King of Scottland. And Banquo's descent will be kings

  15. The prophecy is fulfilled, and Macbeth becomes Thane of Glamis first and then Thane of Cawdor SâcreBleu!!... I’mhungry.

  16. Macbeth begins to have ambition to the throne.

  17. His wife, Lady Macbeth offers to kill King Duncan of Scotland.

  18. Macbeth agreestoconsummatethecrime I’ll do it!!

  19. Act ll Macbeth, as night falls, kills Duncan

  20. . The king's sons, Malcolm and Donalbain not believe the version of Macbeth and decide to flee to save his life.

  21. Macbeth isproclaimedking. I’mnotking… I’M QUEEN!!!!

  22. Act lll Macbeth is uneasy because of the prophecy that the Three Witches made him, that Banquo would be father of kings.

  23. Macbeth orders the death of Banquo and his son Fleance.Banquo dies, but Fleance flees ACHO!! ACHO!! RUN!!!

  24. Macbeth returns to ask to the Three Witches about his future, they say three new prophecies…

  25. "beware Macduff"

  26. "none of woman born shall harm Macbeth"

  27. "never vanquish'd be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him"

  28. Macbeth orders the death of Macduff's entire family.

  29. Lady Macbeth becomes wracked with guilt from the crimes she and her husband have committed. She sleepwalks and tries to wash imaginary bloodstains from her hands.Shecommits suicide

  30. Malcolm and Macduff invade Scotland.

  31. Macbteh is frightened

  32. Camouflaged with leaves of the forest of Birnam, Malcolm Macduff and attack the castle of Macbeth, the first prophecy has been fulfilled.

  33. Macbeth fights with Macduff, he feels safe, because no man born of woman can kill.

  34. But Macduff was born by Caesarean section.

  35. Macbeth dies…

  36. Malcolm becomes king of… Scotland
